All that you need to know about Architecture Jobs

Proper training in both engineering and design is expected from an architect. The making of buildings, houses and apartments requires attention to details, following certain instructions and preparing drawings. While a formal training is needed in order to be eligible for a job of an architect, there are some innate skills like good command over sketching and design and an aesthetic sense are equally required to earn name and fame as an architect.

 

Architecture Job

 

The formal education is a post-secondary training in architecture which is usually a four-year or six-year program and can be earned from any reputed university rendering education and training in architecture.

 

Designer, business owner, instructor, consultant and project manager are the five types of architect jobs. They are briefly explained as follows:

 

  • Designer- A designer takes care of the artistic aspect of a building that is going to be made. The job of the designers is to wisely combine science and art to produce a wonderful outcome.

 

  • Business Owner- As a business owner, an architect finds himself as the owner of a construction firm and shoulders the responsibility of operating the business in the right direction. At the initial stage, business owners handle small projects and later on with experience they become efficient to operate big projects.

 

  • Instructor- An architect as an instructor can find a job in college or university as a lecture or professor specialized in architecture and design.

 

  • Consultant- An architect as a consultant works in a consultancy firm that specifies in a particular type of project. Many architects start their own consultancy firms later gathering experience from the years which they spent in working as a consultant.

 

  • Project Manager- There is a lot of responsibilities on a project manager on a construction site. He or she examines the architectural and construction design and make important decisions which requires at least 10 years of experience.
